ALEXANDER MINDADZE Chairman
Writer, director, producer. He is considered as one of the most acclaimed scriptwriters and directors in Russia. More than 20 of his screenplays have been filmed since 1975. Early in his career he teamed up with acclaimed Russian director Vadim Abdrashitov, with whom he collaborated on eleven films over several decades. The film PLUMBUM was awarded with golden medal at the Venice Film Festival in 1987, and the Mindadze-Abdrashitov duo won the Silver Bear at the Berlin Film Festival in 1995 for the film A PLAY FOR A PASSENGER. In 2007 his feature film debut as director, SOAR, was premiered at Venice IFF. This film received two awards, including the film critics award for best debut film in Russia. Second feature film written and directed by Alexander Mindadze INNOCENT SATURDAY was premiered at Berlin IFF in 2011. Mindadze is the unique Russian scriptwriter who was awarded with prestigious ENNIO FLAIANO PRIZE and the SILVER PEGASUS from the Italian Academy of Culture for “Literature’s contribution to the cinema.”

Writer, critic, curator, chief editor of the magazine “Cinema Art” website. Author of the book “The Birth of Posthuman” (St. Petersburg, 1998) and several books of poetry. From 1998 to 2001, he is a regular contributor to the newspaper “The Lower Depths” (St. Petersburg) and the portal “Art-Piter”. Over the years, worked with the radio station “Deutsche Welle”, taught at the St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television, he worked as a chief editor of the portal “on the wave” (publishing house “at the bottom”), chief editor of the magazine «GQ», chief editor of the magazine ” Men’s Health», PR-director of “Other Cinema” company, press-secretary at the “Central Partnership” film company.

JURY OF THE CONTEST OF TYURKO-MONGOLSKY CINEMA
KHODJAKULI NARLIEV Chairman
Soviet and Turkmenian film director, screenwriter and cinematographer, winner of the National Award of the USSR, a holder of the title People’s Artist of the Turkmenian SSR. From 1976 to 1999 he was the chairman of the Union of Cinematographers in Turkmenian SSR and worked at the “Turkmenfilm” studio. Khodjakuli Narliev is a member of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Cinema Arts “Nika”. He received an award for his film “thirst quencher”, and he was also awarded best director for the film “Daughter in law”, and got a special prize as the best director for the film “The Tree Jamal” at the All-Union Film Festival. Also, he received a commemorative medal for participating in the Venice Film Festival in the film critics section, and has been mentioned by the jury at the film festival in Locarno. Khodjakuli Narliev also got the order of “friendship of nations” at the International Award of Turkmenistan for the film “Competition”.

He directed several films devoted to Yakut culture: “Middle World”, “Uraankhai Sakha”, “Silis tardyyta (“Roots”)”, “Shaman’s dreams”, “Following Djesegei” and others.
Film critic. Author of the numerous articles published in the “Cinema Art” magazine and other issues. Laureate of “Elephant” award of the guild of Russian film critics’ (2005). In 2013 he received a letter of gratitude and a silver medal from the Vice-President of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). He teaches film history at the Russian Professional Pedagogical University in Yekaterinburg. He is interested in modern Asian cinema. Author of the book “About the films of far and near Asia” (2015).

Director, scriptwriter, producer. Laureate of the State award named after Toktogul, honored artist of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, a member of the Union of Cinematographers of Kyrgyzstan and the Confederation of Cinematographers Union of the CIS and Baltic countries, the nominee of the Russian Film Academy NIKA in 2010.
